I discovered my MBTI type several years ago. It was perhaps one of the most fascinating things. Imagine, deer in the headlights – whoa!
That was my initial reaction.

Everything about myself started to make more sense. Everything that was part of a gray area suddenly held meaning.
And for once in my life, I felt like I was more in control of myself just knowing that, while I knew I was weird, there was an explanation for that weirdness. 😉💁♀️
INFJ’s are notorious for trading:
- Nights out for knowledge seeking
- Chasing money for chasing purpose
- Meaningless work for work that we are passionate about
- Soul extortion for soul seaching
- Living for others for living my life
- Being busy for protecting our time
As an INFJ, I have noticed that I have a bit of an edge – a spiritual superpower, if that makes sense. I am undoubtedly Christian. I absolutely am head over heels in love with Jesus, but I am also very spiritual.
Can someone be spiritual and also religious? Absolutely.
While many people seem to long for material things, I seem to feel so very indifferent. While people may not come right out and say that they are materialistic, you can [quite honestly] just tell…. I don’t dislike expensive/bigger/better things, but I don’t necessarily care about them either.
The book of Ecclesiastes in the Bible guides us to the real truth behind all things: putting our fear, love and trust in God and God alone. Solomon’s wisdom teaches us that life is long, that life is difficult, and that much of our time is spent on vanity. The things of this world don’t light a candle to the fact that God should be our main focus.
He is not inviting us to despise our lives, work or possession, nor is he inviting us to despise the pleasures in life. He is instructing us that life is so much more than these things. We worry and obsess with clinging so tightly to the things of the world, for profits that will earn us nothing. When we lay dying, it is not the profits that will save us. It is not the people we vote for that will help us. Our titles, successes, accolades, none of those things will matter to us – the only thing that will matter is the peace of Christ that passes all human understanding.
As humans, we always pursue the material things because we are never satisfied. There is always something better out there. The INFJ, however, focuses less on material things and more on personal growth, impacting others (in a positive way).
True INFJ’s love to spend time in solitude. Solitude, essentially, is the foundation of self love.
It is in solitude that our connection with our soul gets stronger. When you shed the nonsense around you, you start hearing your intuition over your fears. Your vibration enhances, raises, when you stop surrounding yourself with energies that don’t boost/support your spirit.
When you stop associating with people that drain your energy or bring you down, your life starts to shift. You will be more connected to yourself.
Your intuition and the Holy Spirit become your inner compass.
Confusion is replaced with clarity.
You start attracting love because you radiate love.
