Society tries to convince us that there is something wrong with being single, or single for a long time.

I am an introvert.

It’s the middle of the summer in the desert Southwest. Temperatures are upwards of 115 degrees F – middle of the day.

And where am I standing?

I live in the desert Southwest, and on [what seems like] every street corner is a gym.
